  1. 2016

    In December 2016, we realised that check-in and bag drop doesn’t have to take place at the airport! Proof of concept pilots undertaken at Sydney cruise ship terminal.

  2. 2017

    On December 21, OACIS receives authorization to commence operations.

    On December 23, Check-in opens at Sydney cruise terminal.

  3. 2018

    In July 2018, July Hotel trials begin with Accor Group in Sydney OACIS expands to sporting events, handling property for Australian Football League (AFL) teams at various Sydney sporting venues.

    Same year in November, OACIS wins the Future Travel Experience - Oceania Region Customer Initiative Award.

    Later in December, OACIS has its busiest day: 1,000 check-ins in a single day. In the same month, OACIS celebrates its 10,000th cruise customer and 1 year of successful operations.

  4. 2019

    In January 2019, OACIS sets up check-in for the Santos Tour Down Under cycling event, in the Tour Village and at Adelaide Airport.

    Later in May, OACIS surpasses 25,000 customer check-ins Australia-wide, at multiple off-airport locations

  5. 2020

    In November 2020, OACIS launches it's Middle East operations.

  6. 2022

    In November 2022, OACIS started Morafiq Aviation Services in partnership with Etihad Airport Services, Abu Dhabi Airports, and Tourism 365. The company offers off-airport check-in and baggage handling services to passengers of Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, Wizz Air, and Egypt Air.

  7. 2024

    In May 2024, OACIS launches its "Airport in the City" project in Italy in partnership with Aeroporti De Roma (ADR) and ITA Airways to offer free, seamless off-airport check-in solutions in Rome.

The “Airport in the City” is a joint initiative of OACIS, Aeroporti Di Roma & ITA Airways to offer travellers with a seamless travel experience from Fiumicino Airport, Rome.
